Anyone who says The Acting Company doesn't do it all for the Yuba-Sutter community didn't see our Theater Manager, John Elliott, dressed as a Polyp at the Sutter North Procedure Center Open House on Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Polyp Man helped spread the news about the importance of colon cancer screening. The American Cancer Society predicts that 60 people in Yuba-Sutter will be diagnosed with Colon Cancer this year and more than half of them would not have cancer if they had received a colonoscopy at the recommended time. So when Sutter North and the Cancer Society called The Acting Company to say they needed someone to help them fight the battle against Colon Cancer, we answered the call and provided the perfect actor to play "Polyp Man."
