Audition Notice: Unfairest of Them All
carmen on Jan 21, 2017
AUDITIONS: January 30th and 31st are from 5:30-6:45pm, but you are encouraged to arrive early to have your picture taken and have time to fill out your audition form. You are only required to attend one of those dates. Additional callbacks may occur on Wednesday (February 1st) at 5:30pm. You do not have to bring anything special to auditions or have anything prepared except for a list of your schedule conflicts (see below).
“Happily ever after” is super boring – at least, that’s what The Author thinks. Join him as he plays around with all the stories and characters you’ve come to know and love and watch as the hijinx ensues! Anything can – and will – happen! From breaking the fourth wall to rewinding time, nothing is off-limits. Make sure to join us for this fast-paced, unexpected and funny show.
ROLES: We are especially encouraging preteen/teen boys and preteen/teen girls to audition, though we have very fun roles available for all age ranges from young children to late teens. This show will be fast-paced, quippy, and comedy heavy, with the possibility of some actors playing multiple (radically different) roles.
Characters range widely- many are those you know and love, but with a twist. An evil Snow White, vain Cinderella, narcoleptic Sleeping Beauty, Ugly Stepsisters (preferably played by teen males), a rhyming Rumplestiltskin, a gossipy Magic Mirror – and much more!
SHOW DATES: March 18th, March 25th, and April 1st. Performances are at 1pm and 3pm. The actors can expect to be at the theater from about 12pm-4pm on show dates.
REHEARSALS: A read-through of the script with the full cast will be on February 2nd at 5:30pm. After that, rehearsals will generally take place Monday through Thursday from 5:30-6:45pm, with the possibility of extra rehearsals being scheduled some Saturdays as needed.
CONFLICTS: Please have ready any schedule conflicts to the rehearsal and show dates listed above when you come to audition. We are more than happy to try to work around any potential conflicts you have (such as recitals, field trips, games, etc.) but it is crucial that we know about these conflicts before designing our schedule and who will be required to attend which dates. We only have 6 weeks of rehearsal time and designing the schedule is like a jigsaw puzzle.
Hope to see you there, make sure to share!
